Founder
Ernst Oberortner, PhD — Founder & CEO
Ernst is a computer scientist with a PhD and roughly 25 years of experience spanning software engineering, data engineering and science, and AI/ML for computational protein design. He has led research-and-development and bioinformatics teams, and has published peer-reviewed work in synthetic biology and computational protein design.
He founded Noricum Biosoft to close a widening gap: the biological data the world generates has far outpaced our capacity to analyze it. Helix.AI — Noricum's flagship product — is his answer to that gap, putting production-grade bioinformatics within reach of every scientist.
